Concentrating solar power plants

Since the 1980’s CNIM has invested in the development of solar technology. The Group has designed and carried out the receptor of the Themis solar power plant in the Pyrenées Orientales (France), whose innovations, even today, provide a benchmark for this technology.

Today, the awareness of the problem of CO2 emissions and the depletion of fossil energy resources make the installation of high capacity solar power stations a global issue.

This new Division is responsible for developing turnkey solar power plant projects, and uses all the skills available in the Group to offer a range of innovative technologies.

CNIM already follows several projects in France, the Maghreb and the Middle East, and takes an active participation in long-term developments such as the "Pegasus" project, driven by CNRS.
