Transport : CNIM acquires the British company Accord Lift Services Ltd.

Accord Lift Services Ltd. specialise in the installation, maintenance, restoration and repair of lifts. Established in 1982, today the company's workforce includes 70 employees. In 2005, sales amounted to £9.5 million.

The acquisition of Accord Lift Services Ltd., which ensures maintenance of more than 2,000 lifts, enables CNIM to :

• enhance its expertise in a business sector which represents one of the development priorities of its Transport Division.
• strengthen its market position in electromechanics in the UK where the Group has longstanding experience through its subsidiary CNIM Escalators UK Ltd.
• complement its comprehensive offering such as to meet the requirements of major lift and escalator refurbishment projects launched by public transport companies (metro and railway stations) and big shopping malls.
