Platform screen doors and platform gate doors

Development in the field of platform screen doors and platform gates doors accelerated in 2004. Indeed, besides the need for complete sets of doors for the new metro lines, several operators envisage renovating their existing infrastructures, in order to improve the operational productivity of their networks

With its subsidiary CURTIS, CNIM has control of the technologies involved in door mechanisms and the necessary operational control for the development of platform screen doors.

In 2006,the flagship project in this sector has been the construction of a platform screen door demonstration model with medium-height doors for the RATP. It was installed during the first few months of 2006 in the Saint Lazare metro station of line 13 in Paris, and will serve to validate the concept in-situ before extending the system to entire metro lines.
