SCR process (selective catalytic reduction)
Nitrogen oxides are reduced by injecting ammonia upstream from the reactor. The reaction is most efficient at temperatures between 200 and 300°C on successive layers of catalyst lining the reactor.
This highly effective nitrogen oxide treatment process also efficiently destroys dioxins and furans.
This system is fitted downstream from the main gas treatment system, ensuring better operating conditions and considerably extending the service life of the catalysts.
Specific catalysts also efficiently oxidize the residual carbon
monoxide (CO) into carbon dioxide (CO2).
