Design and Construction Including Financing, and Operation with Waste-to-Energy Processing: "Licencing Agreement"
The London South-East waste-to-energy processing plant (2 x 29 t/h of household waste) provides a good example of this type of service.
Through SELCHP, a 50 % subsidiary, CNIM set up the financing of the plant, built it, operates it and has committed itself to using the electricity it thereby generates by signing a contract with the London Electricity Board.
Three other similar projects have been set up in the UK: Stoke-on-Trent, Dudley and Wolverhampton. In all these cases, CNIM plays the role of a "licence holder", offering a complete service package to the authorities, which have only to supply the waste.
