Combustion grates

The Martin reverse-acting grate

Capacity range from 2.5 to 50 t/h.
LHV from 1,100 to 3,800 Kcal/Kg with air cooling. Water cooling for higher LHV.

Operating principle :
The grate bars move upwards, in the opposite direction of the waste fuel, thus ensuring it be mixed efficiently.
The red hot mass carried to the top of the grate initiates the combustion of the new waste as soon as it falls onto the grate.
The high pressure drop created by the grate ensures even air distribution.

Advantages :
Reliable, sturdy and proven, this system guarantees a long service life and is suitable for a large variety of fuel types, even with extremely variable LHV rates.
High availability. High availability.
For fuel types with LHV exceeding 3,500 kcal/kg, water cooling of the grate bars is possible.
